Patients Accepted
We accept many different types of patients, including dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, rodents, guinea pigs, chinchillas, hedgehogs, reptiles, amphibians, birds and even invertebrates. While dogs and cats make up about 80-85% of our case load, it is not uncommon to sit in our waiting room next to a frog, turtle, or a parrot.
Admissions Policy
For elective surgeries and procedures, all patients must have an examination by our veterinary staff and be current on vaccinations. This is for your pet's protection as well as all other inpatients.
Even if vaccinations have been administered by a licensed veterinarian and your pet has had an examination elsewhere recently, our veterinary staff must still perform a pre-operative examination. We take our responsibility for your pet's health and safety very seriously. Since we will be putting your pet under general anesthesia and performing the procedure, we want to be sure your pet does not have any pre-existing health problems, that you are aware of exactly what will be done, and that all your questions have been answered to your satisfaction.
