Dr. Jeffrey Rhody

Dr. Rhody graduated from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine (cum laude) in 1983.  In 1988, he opened the Lakeside Veterinary Center.  Since that time, he has emphasized quality hands-on-care rather than a large case load.  Every client is treated with respect for their time and their emotional bond with their pet.  Every patient is treated with dignity and a gentle approach to their medical needs.  Our veterinary practice reflects the value that animals and people are intertwined.  To that end the Lakeside Veterinary Center will always strive to provide the best veterinary care possible for your pet, while always keeping in mind that your pet is a family member.

Since the mid-1990's, Dr. Rhody has been seeing an increasing number of non-traditional pets, such as rabbits, ferrets, rats, reptiles, and birds.   In fact, the Lakeside Veterinary Center  patient base is now 40% non-traditional pets.  Dr. Rhody has begun presenting lectures about the care of non-traditional pet mammals at regional and national meetings for veterinarians, and really enjoys the contact with colleagues and the ability to give back to the veterinary profession.
